In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war. The galaxy is a vast and treacherous place, and the Imperium of Man is locked in a constant struggle against the forces of Chaos, xenos, and treachery. One of the most feared and deadly enemies of the Imperium is the Traitor Guard.
The Traitor Guard are regiments of the Astra Militarum who have turned against the Emperor and pledged their allegiance to the Ruinous Powers of Chaos. These renegades are a potent threat to the Imperium, as they are well-trained and equipped, and they know the Imperium's tactics and strategies better than anyone else.
One of the most infamous and deadly Traitor Guard regiments is The Salted 20. This regiment is composed of the survivors of the 20th Cadian Shock Troops, who were betrayed and left for dead by their commanding officer. The Salted 20 swore vengeance on the Imperium, and they have been fighting against it ever since.

The 20th Cadian Shock Troops were sent to reinforce the Imperial garrison, but they quickly found themselves overwhelmed by the Chaos forces.
The commanding officer of the 20th Cadian Shock Troops, Colonel Valerius, decided to abandon his troops and flee the planet. He left the Salted 20 to die, but they refused to give up. They fought their way through the Chaos forces and eventually managed to escape Zalathras.
The Salted 20 were furious at Valerius for abandoning them, and they vowed to get revenge. They swore allegiance to the Chaos gods, and they began to fight against the Imperium.
Motivations
The Salted 20 are motivated by a desire for revenge against the Imperium. They believe that the Imperium has betrayed them, and they want to make it pay. They also believe that the Chaos gods are the true masters of the galaxy, and they are fighting to bring about their reign.
The Salted 20 are a fanatical and ruthless enemy. They are willing to do whatever it takes to achieve their goals, and they have no mercy for their enemies.
Tactics
The Salted 20 are a highly skilled and experienced fighting force. They are well-trained in the tactics of the Astra Militarum, and they know how to use their weapons and equipment to maximum effect.
The Salted 20 are also very adaptable. They are able to change their tactics to suit the situation, and they are always willing to learn new ways to fight. They are also very good at using the terrain to their advantage.
